So that they can share experiences with the community and meet other people doing similar initiatives. Also helpful when you get to meet a person who is working on an application or initiative like Susan is. Helps to find out who you might need to talk to or what the team behind the application is like/what their concerns and priorities are.

This is the only place I have had the opportunity to hear of other's experiences in making the case for social media to upper management -- specifically in the nonprofit sector. The area of nonprofit technology is where we need to be resourceful and to push the boundaries of conventional marketing to stay relevant.

In a 'tmi' world of techno-deluge, this was a perfect narrowcast niche to make critical use of time and 'return on attention!' ---Excellent speakers w/tried-n-true experiences and resources to share, all filtered into a short sound-burst of gem. Brava, Bravo! (As Arnold would say, 'I'll be back!!' ;-)
