Great facility, though location is a little far from transit. The arrangement of chairs was great. Having the recording there was unobtrusive. I thought it was interesting having 3 speakers which serve very similar purposes/relationships with volunteering. Networking could have been organized for before and after the meeting. We were herded out of there pretty fast. It would have been nice to get more of a sense of the room. The "raise your hand if..." questions were helpful in trying to identify who else was there, and whether they might share common interests (so I could talk to them after the event). I've been to a great event at Techsoup where dots were used to identify people by categories relevant to the event. The discussion seemed a little repetitive. Perhaps the moderator could have taken a stronger hand at getting the guests to their points so that more questions could be asked? I found the content a little broad.

I'm just starting in this area, and wow! Did this open my eye to a whole new world! It was an amazing source of information and personal insights from a panel of experts.

Pam giving example of micro-volunteerism is an eye opener. Robert's comment on life style choice resonates with my experience having volunteered in more than a dozen organizations in my life. I am curently still actively engaged in 5 organizations concurrently.
