“ It's the best tech event in the Bay Area for staying abreast of new software startups and networking with others. It's also reasonably priced. ”
— Mariva on Mar 12, 2008.
“ Always a worthwhile, entertaining, and educational event and the best way to socialize and broaden your mind while networking with technology industry colleagues. Keep it up! ”
— Scott P. on Mar 12, 2008.
“ The structure of this meetup is of such a nature that it allows both young entrepreneurs and established businessmen to feel comfortable and network smoothly. The Q&A session is as much a learning experience for those who are being questioned as it is for those who listen, given that you learn how to best scrutinize a startup. The 60 second soap box is a creative and refreshing feature that gives anyone the chance to create opportunities for himself in front of a group of people who know where to give them. It manages to provide a framework that is fun yet in which serious business can take place - and that is not an easy thing to accomplish. Congrats to the organizer. ”
— Alexandros Pagidas on Nov 8, 2007.
“ This is a very well organized event and group. Each meet up is always jam packed with insightful presentations and demos of new technology -- as well as great networking. The free tacos are great too. ”
— Chris Galvin on Oct 29, 2009.
“ If you are looking to meet others starting up tech businesses and learn about those businesses, then I would recommend the SF NewTech meetup. In addition, there were a number of organizations specifically offering services to startups that could prove useful. ”

“ Myles is great! Calm, professional and experienced. As for the presentors - they need to speak up, add some fizz and keep in mind that its late and they need to keep us awake. ”
— Gil Heiman on Nov 7, 2007.
“ I think that the members would benefit from an opportunity to meet and network before presentations start. I noticed many small groups of people who obviously knew each other throughout the crowd, mostly near the bar. Once the presentations started, these people were asked to stop talking because it took focus off the presenters. Maybe if attendees had more time before presentations to talk to each other, introduce themselves to other members, and so forth, these issues would fix themselves. Since I don't know whether the current format has always been in place, please take my comments as observations from a newcomer. ”
— A former member on Oct 10, 2007.
