It's the September SF Tech Meetup! FOUR companies will each get FIVE minutes to wow SF. And we'll get 10 minutes to respond and ask questions! On tap: http://www.yousendit.... Khalid Shaikh on how to send BIG email files with ease. http://civicevolution... Brian Sullivan on civic-minded group tools and services for a better world. http://www.sitekreato... Lenkov Ivaylo on helping people and business make and publish web sites. http://www.joyent.com... Jason Hoffman on group email and calendar tools and ways to share applications. You may have noticed we changed the date of the Meetup to the First Wednesday of every month. We did this so folks can now go to the Silicon Valley Tech Meetup AND the SF Tech Meetup instead of choosing one over the other. Until now, we held them on on the same night. For your pleasure, you can double up on Tech Meetups and join the SV Tech Meetup that continues to meet on the First Tuesday of every month in Palo Alto @ http://newtech.meetup... Big thanks to Joel Sacks from CNET Networks for hosting and making arrangements! And Cheers! Beverages once again sponsored by the emerging tech law firm of Jacobs & Ferraro (http://www.jacobsferr.... Let's get those RSVPs in folks! We'll see you @ the Meetup! Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 7:00 pm **You Must RSVP To Attend** See you there! - Myles Organizer, SF New Tech Meetup VP, Public Affairs, Meetup

Consider using a conversation starter. People not very friendly and tended to cluster into groups of people they already knew.

Very thought provoking group of presenters. Some appeared more with-it than others. But the tech meet-ups are a great place for them to try out their dog and pony shows while introducing their work.

I really liked the mix of formal and informal structure. As my first tech event in SF, I really enjoyed the chance to network with other people in the area. The demo's were kept to a reasonable time, and featured some great companies. It's exciting to meet the people behind the websites, and I look forward to next month's gathering!

I enjoyed the talks quite a bit and I'll definitely be coming back to the next one.

Great meetup, four speakers with innovative and high-potential plans for web-based tools and solutions.

A good opportunity for those starting out one way or another to make connections

I like the new format. The only thing I would recommend is giving a microphone to people who ask questions. It was hard to hear most of them.
