I would like to extend an invitation to you to explore environmental journalism. We will not assume any political views but will report on matters that may be considered controversial in nature.
Here is an opportunity to broaden your skills, scale up your social network to a global level and test your ability to shift people's behavior related to environmental issues
I am establishing a new venture for environmental reporting to be known as Green Network News (greennetworknews.US [currently working on the format] ). The objective is simple; good transparent reporting and information gathering that enhances the appeal and knowledge of environmental advocacy and increases reader's likelihood of engaging in environmental issues.
We will use technology to manage much of the operation given that a global reporting agenda requires a significant dependency on the availability of today's technology. Communication, feedback, decision-making, dialogue, input and information gathering will all depend on how each of us understands, engages with and shares such insights with other GNN team members to fortify our work efficiency.
Strength in numbers, low input high output:
What advantage do we have to grow and become a legitimate and influential force? Used properly I believe we can take advantage of technology to minimize the time (not the effort and energy) to produce a meaningful media source of information. Secondly we will employ a crowd sourcing approach to produce our product as we brainstorm using social media like google+ and google talk, skype and twitter to create the kind of edge that will help us grow.
There is no pay for this initiative, that being said, I am an ambitious individual and am looking for a team that is equally ambitious to achieve new levels of reporting and move the needle on environmental matters. It is my firm belief that this initiative with GNN will be transformative as well as leading to a revenue generating opportunity over time.
I hope to have this team assembled by mid-February.
