The Newtech meetup meets monthly for 150 people at DLA Piper in Palo Alto.? They are in tech law and sponsor it and might be receptive to your event.? You might want to contact them (I forgot conntact) or contact Vinnie OF THE svnEWtECH mEETUP.

Hello everyone,

I have found that I have put myself in a bit of a spot last week agreeing to host the preDevCamp but I have yet to find a location to hold it.

I am starting to get a bit desperate on finding a place but seeing as I only started looking last Tuesday when I took on the role of organizer I still have hope.

I am trying to find space to hold an event with 100+ people and I am hoping someone else on this might know a place in the bay area
that would have a space they would be willing to provide/donate on Saturday august 8th, 2009 from about 11am till about 5 or 6:00pm?

I am reaching out to anyone that can help so if you know of one it would be great!

Ideally a place in San Francisco proper would be best but a place on the peninsula would be fine as well.

Since it is the San Francisco preDevCamp I really don't want to hold it south of Mountain View as calling it the San Francisco preDevCamp will be a stretch :)

I also invite all of you to come to the preDevCamp as soon as I can find a spot to hold it, If your interested at all in developing for the Palm pre it is going
to be great. We have the lead of the Palm Mojo team and many of the engineers there to help you build an app as well as many of the engineers from
pivotal labs showing off how they have built 4 apps for the pre. There will be a ton of prizes for both apps developed and just showing up, including Palm Pre's!
