Check out these two videos from last years trip! (they are on our friends travel clubs sites since some people from these groups came with us)
Day 1 Friday: Departure time: 9AM (L,D)
Bright and early you exchange your Friday commute to work with a beautiful 3.5 hour drive to Ukiah. Our piece of paradise is just 45 minutes from the town. As you approach the easily drivable dirt road to the lake, you will find a river and sandy swimming hole. Lunch will be waiting for you, along with a guide. Once you have satiated your hunger, and cooled off in the refreshing river (wear your swimming clothes), we will depart for the lake, following the guide.
Our shuttle boat will be awaiting your arrival. There will be time for some to relax on the beach at the resort while others will make the first trip to camp. You will arrive in time to settle in to your tented piece of paradise, taking a nap or going for a spin on a kayak. As you approach your tent, you will be pleasantly surprised to find a full standing room tent, complete with a large, queen size bed, a table, and even a couch! Each luxury tent comes complete with interior lighting as well!
Once you have had your first taste of the lake, dinner will be waiting, expertly prepared by our personal chef.
After dinner, take a stroll to the beach and enjoy a drink as the sun departs us. You will not be disappointed as the colors of the last rays eclipse into a star filled night.
(Meals: B, L, D)
Day 2 Saturday: The Water (B, L, D)
In the morning at 9:00 AM, after some have strolled the beautiful beach, or explored the woods, we’ll have a French California style breakfast, featuring sweet and savory crepes, freshly made orange juice, and coffee/ Tea.
For those who are interested, you will learn to windsurf from an experienced windsurf instructor. Each of you will take turns practicing this challenging, but rewarding sport. Once the afternoon winds kick up, sailboat rides will be offered, along with on the water lessons. For those who prefer to relax, there is plenty of welcoming beach, quiet spots to read amongst the pines, and beautiful inlets to explore on a kayak.
After lunch your day is free to enjoy the tranquility of your forested retreat.
A salmon dinner will not disappoint, then stay up for a full length Feature film on a large screen projector, sing campfire songs and enjoy smores, or head to your mobile bungalow for some R&R.
Day 3 Sunday: Exploration (B, L, D)
After full breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, or cereal and fruit, we will get ready for a day of exploration.
For those of who are interested, we will take a 2hr hike before the heat of the day hits, climbing the nearby hills for spectacular views of the lake. Those who prefer will practice windsurfing, take out a boat, or maybe even slow down for a minute and catch up on that novel that has been collecting dust.
After a satisfying taco lunch we will take small groups on a tour of the lake, giving you a chance to see the many nooks and crannies of this majestic lake. For those at base camp, it will be time to get the game on and play some volleyball.
Dinner will be a traditional campfire BBQ with mashed potatoes and a refreshing green salad.
Day 4 Monday: Chill Out (B,L)
Enjoy a pancake and egg or fresh fruit/oatmeal breakfast. Then enjoy your newly acquired skill by taking out the windsurfer or sailboat. Get in your last few hours of rays, or chill in the hammock and knock out the rest of that book you started.
After lunch, we will start our departure, with those who prefer to soak in as much as they can staying until as late as 4pm.
