Advice on peewee vs SQLAlchemy

From: Stephen

I'm working with some code originally written using peewee (to MySQL).
Thinking of migrating it to SQLAlchemy.

Anyone have an opinion on the pros and cons?
One obvious thing is peewee's doesn't do persistent connections;
I could use flask decorators for this but it seems like SQLAlchemy is more
production-ready out of the box.
Also, performance is not yet important but I expect SQLAlchemy is better.
