Rapleaf has graciously offered to host this month's Meetup.

BRIDGES and BEYOND - Tim Burks will present the latest twist on his RubyObjC bridge, a new language written specifically to be a glue language for Objective-C. In a lot of ways it's like Ruby, but in one important way, it's Lisp. You might say that it's "Ruby with Parentheses", but it's called Nu, and it's not just for the desktop. We'll take an in-depth look at a blog server written in Nu that has a built-in Objective-C webserver, a Nu page templating engine, and an ActiveRecord-style ORM based on Apple's CoreData framework.

RUBY IDIOMS - Bala Paranj will explore the elegance of Ruby through examples. We will see how Ruby makes complicated things simple. We will also see examples of Ruby idioms in Rails applications.

RAPLEAF - Jeremy Lizt will talk about how Rapleaf is using Ruby and RoR.

LIGHTNING TALK, Lightning Talk, Lightning Talk... You guessed it - Lightning Talks! Stand up for 2-5 minutes and talk about something you've been doing. No advanced planning necessary - just stand up and do it. Then be ready for some serious questions from the audience.

INTRODUCING PAZAP* - Sorry folks, Dominic's presentation is postponed due to schedule conflict. Look for Pazap in upcoming Meetups.

* Dominic Son - the one man bootstrapped startup will tell you about his experience grasping Rails without previous experience, entrepreneurship, and will end with tips on performance
