7pm-9pm: Software Installfest: help students get a working RoR environment
Saturday, March 16, 2013
9:00am-4:30pm: Workshop
After Party - location TBA
You must fill out volunteer survey -- we need to know your full name so you can get into the building, and more about you so we can match you up with the right volunteer job.
Super big thanks to our sponsor and host, WestEd!

We're looking for workshop volunteers! We always need teachers and TAs.
WestEd is a huge space, so we need as many teachers as possible because we can open this up to a lot of students.
We also have many other (non-technical) roles available, including check-in, keeping track of glitches in the documentation, taking pictures, posting throughout to the day to social networks, setting up rooms/equipment, etc. Finally, we always need people to take on childcare. Please let us know if you're interested or know of a babysitter who might be interested. (Childcare is our only "paid position" but volunteers are always the best recruiters).
Watch out for an email (to wherever your Meetup.com emails go) with a survey so we can figure out who will be there when, what everyone wants to teach/TA/volunteer for, etc.
We need your full name to give the guards so they allow you upstairs (include it when we send out the survey, we need surveys returns
We will be teaching both the intermediate and the beginning curricula, depending on student interest.
Transportation: WestEd's office is located in downtown San Francisco. If you are taking transit, use the Montgomery Street BART/MUNI stations. If you're driving, there are several parking garages in the area as well as metered street parking. Bikes are not allowed in the building and there is very limited bike parking (i.e. parking meters) outside.
We'll be teaching the regular Suggestotron curriculum to anyone who wants it. Since we also have the new intermediate curriculum we can teach that if anyone is interested in using it for the more advanced groups. You can find all the different RailsBridge curricula here: http://docs.railsbridge.org/.
Please bring your laptop and power supply to the workshop.
We'll have pizza Friday night during the Installfest, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Vegetarian options will be available.
Seems like I cant rsvp since it occurred already. I wont be able to come to volunteer since I am sick.
