Volunteers: March 11-12 Rails Outreach for Women

The Railsbridge workshops continue! We're looking for volunteers familiar with Rails to help with the following:
-Install Fest: help workshop attendees install Rails 3.0 and it's dependencies on March 11 6:30-9 PM
-Workshop: teach or be an assistant instructor to small groups of 4-6 on March 12, 9:00-4 PM
Other volunteer activities we need help on:
-Attendee registration
-Set up equipment
-Childcare
-Closing-down, post-workshop
There will be a teacher training on March 6 from 1-3 for anyone who is interested in teaching or TAing.

Jerry Wheeler
Worked with the beginner's group (computer programming, that is, not Ruby/Rails beginners) and the teacher/assistant-to-student ratio was high, which helped immensely in giving individual attention to those who needed it, as even in the beginning group there was a wide range of experience and expertise. The ratio wasn't as high in the intermediate and advanced groups, but they didn't need as much help.
