The fine folks at TrueCar are hosting a hack night!
Bring your laptop and a project to work on, or show up and help others out. We'll do introductions early on, and we'll have a sign-up for people who are looking for a partner to pair with, who want to join a project or have a project to share. They'll have monitors, keyboards & mice for 8 pairing stations, conference room with a projector, and plenty of room for more coding fun.
There will be beer and pizza.
See you there!
Excellent meetup in a very good space. I learned a valuable new Mac keystroke. Very good discussion about paired programming workstations, and other issues. The office furniture includes a few large "exercise" balls for staying fit while working at a keyboarding job. first hack night, so I was a bit shy. Liked the fact that Kai the facilitator had everybody say their name and what they are working on, and have us write it on a white board. Another rubyist came over and we had a very nice discussion of my project: generating a rails project from a visual object model.

Kai is a gracious and engaging host, actively committed to making each successive Hack Night better. He helped me discover optparse (non-web ruby?!?). Really, the whole group was full of diverting and informative people.

Hey everyone,
I'm currently working on a project that calls for a Ruby/PHP Developer for Back-End. If anyone is interested, email me at [masked] and I'll fill you in. Hopefully this will be a longer term project.
