Agenda: ActiveScaffold, Arti, Lightning Talks, and Hack Session
Venue: Odeo (around the corner from CitizenSpace)
Richard White will talk about ActiveScaffold [1].
Rich Morin will be giving a short talk on Arti, his documentation tool. He'll be helping folks at the Hack Session set Arti up to target their own apps. [2]
Then we'll do a round of lightning talks. (If you have a lightning talk topic, email me so I can post it here.)
And finish the evening with a Hack Session.
We'll start at 6:15 to make parking easier and try out Monday night because it may be the empty night of the week for people.
2007/04/05: the venue changed today from CitizenSpace to Odeo (very close by). My bad and a thousand apologies to Ivan Storck for screwing up the schedule.
-------- Talk Details --------
[1] The ActiveScaffold (activescaffold.com) plugin jump starts your backend development by providing dynamically created, production ready, AJAXified CRUD interfaces with just a single line of code. Obviously there's a lot more under the hood and in this talk we'll go over basic setup and configuration and also touch on how you can override and extend the base functionality.
[2] Arti (http://arti-ar.cfcl.c...) is a Rails-centric documentation toolkit. That is, it gathers information from Rails apps, then uses Rails to present the results. Arti-0.1.2, the
first general release of the application, includes:
* arti_ar - a copy of Arti, targeted at itself
* mephisto_ar - a copy of Arti, targeted at Mephisto (http://mephistoblog.c...)
* hangman - the Cheating Hangman game, includinga "merged" copy of Arti
To pick up the release, visit
http://www.cfcl.com/r...
and grab arti-0.1.2.tgz (wordlists-0.1.0.tgz is only needed to build the reference database for the Cheating Hangman)

met some nice folks, talked about software - what could be better?
I really liked the Monday night choice - keep it on Mondays!
