We're looking for workshop volunteers! We always want instructors and TAs. We also have many other (non-technical) roles available, including check-in, keeping track of glitches in the documentation, taking pictures, posting throughout to the day to social networks, setting up rooms/equipment, etc.

Teacher training TBA

Hey all, I am I interested in the espnW event on the weekend, does anyone in the list know if it is exclusively for women, or do I need a female wing? I have tweeted Adria for more info but thought I would post here as we'll.

Thanks for the quick reply Adria. I have jumped onto the Event Brite and couldn't see a sign up button so guess it has sold out.

I have sent an impassioned plea to the organisers that goes, so hopefully I can get it. Do you know it is more like Rails Bridge and is a little more informal, with a plus one type arrangement, or is a little more strict? I actually postponed leaving San Fran this week as I really want to attend for the ESPN API component, so hopefully I can get in.

Taught for the first time instead of TA'ing. Good fun.

Looks like we're more than covered for vols. I'll come by Sat am and then bug out to the Adobe web-doc sprint if we don't need me here.

Confirmed -- on call from Adobe all day (as teacher, TA, or general vol). Otherwise helping get docs.webplatform.org up to speed. Jessie (and the vol spreadsheet) has my number, or just e-mail (best to do both).

Hi - yes I sent an email to all volunteers last week. Check which email address you have associated with your meetup account.

I'm on the waitlist for this Ruby on Rails workshop. I am more than happy to volunteer in a non-technical role, if I can also attend the workshop. Is that an option?
    Thanks
    Dana

Hi Dana - While volunteers are always welcome, I don't think there would be time for you to both volunteer and participate as a student. I know the wait list can be frustrating, but the good news is that we have a workshop every month and sometimes even more! In fact, this month there will be an intermediate workshop Nov 16/17. It hasn't been posted to meetup yet, but you can see all planned future workshops on the Railsbridge calendar: http://workshops.rail...=
