I'm an old C/C++ developer (e.g. Cerent/Cisco) and founder of Socialogue where our team is developing in Ruby on Rails. I'm looking to connect and learn so I can make better decisions.
From the good folks at Enphase Energy (i.e. Chris Eich).

Hello Chip,
Yes I went to the Rails Outreach at Enphase, it was really great. Hope to see you at Hack night next month.

Hey,
I'm searching for Ruby on Rails developers for a well-funded, fast-growing social media gaming company in the SF Bay Area. They want to do with social gaming what Blizzard did with PC games.
Is this the kind of job you're looking for? E-mail me your resume.
Do you know anyone with Ruby on Rails experience? We have a good incentive plan for referrals.
[masked] / [masked].
Chip, we worked together at Cerent.
Hi Chip, I work in SF and live in the East Bay. I'm interested in networking with other RoR developers all over the Bay. I also have space in SF to host a meetup of around 30 folks. I realize this is a North Bay group, but I'm just throwing the offer up here. I do travel a fair bit to spend time at interesting meetups :)
Thank you Chip:)
I'm looking forward to meet you. I am actively searching a co-founder, and hope to learn more about Ruby.
I feel this is just what I need, thanks for starting it!
E
Chip, no problem at all. Thanks for asking!
Hey, I found out about it from the North Bay Internet Society mailing list. Thanks for taking the initiative!
Is that this coming Tuesday? I'm not seeing it on the calendar... or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
Steve Bockman is an old friend; we've known each other and worked together on various projects since the late 80's, including some agile work. He's well versed in Agile methodologies and is an engaging and capable facilitator/tea
cher. I hope you/we find the opportunity to connect.
Hi Chip, I saw the meetup for the Ruby group. I have a standing engagement on Thursdays, but might be able to come late. I was enthused to see the Agile flavor of the upcoming meetings, and I'm glad to see you joined this Meetup. I think there is a good cross-connect here; it would be great to see if we can do some meetings together. Perhaps you, Steve Bockman (Organizer of this Meetup) & I can work something out. Maybe the meeting you have in mind for Agile and Ruby would be a good opportunity.
