Hi Jeff. I'm the co-founder of an online magazine based in DC. Hopefully I will get the chance to talk to you about your interest at the meetup, which will be my first one. (I'm a marketing guy with a social media background but not much tech/dev exper.)

Yes, yes! I started picking up Rails 2 years ago after a 10+ year break from hands-on technical work. Have never regretted it.
