When I worked at Oracle I used to evangelize the use of Linux at developer events and also participated in government related projects around open source and open standards in a few countries. I used Linux on my laptop when working at Oracle for more than 3 years. One a personal level I started out with compiling the Linux kernel on my first dual processor PC, a Tyan motherboard with dual Pentium 120 MHz processors. I use Fedora and Centos at home, Amazon Linux on AWS and have played with various other distros along the way. That said, I still have Windows 7 and Windows Vista (yuck) PCs at home, plus a Mac Book Air. Everything has a place and a purpose!
RHEL, Centos, Oracle Enterprise Linux
I'm a long time Linux fan who is creating a startup that will use Linux on AWS. I've always worked in the IT industry, first doing research for Oracle at the University of Queensland and then joining Oracle for 13 years, doing various roles.
