Linux runs well with most machines. Specifically, with netbooks, they
work very well
and I have personally been using the Acer Aspire One D250 model
running Fedora 12.
> Can the linux installed laptop access internet ?
Of course - I am sure you are aware that the bulk of the Internet is
built and run Linux.
I can, however, undertand you question because the disservice the
local ISPs do with
regards to accessing the Internet via Linux machines.
> Is the files downloaded from internet in the llinux installed laptop compatible with window installed laptop ?
What kinds of files are you referring to? If you are talking about most of the
office documents, you can certainly open it, edit it, etc using the tools
from www.openoffice.org. You can also watch youtube videos, listed to music
(mp3, ogg etc) as well through plugins that you can also download.
> Can we access all the websites using linux installed laptop ?
The Internet is meant for universal access. There are, sadly, some
site that need
specific, OS-dependent software which breaks underlying universality of the Web.
It is best to contact those sites that inform them that you are not
using those sites
because of their failure to make the sites universal.
I run Fedora 12 on all of my machines - laptops, desktops etc. If you are
interested, I will be happy to mail you some Fedora 12 live CDs for you to
install from. Send me via private email your mailing address.
