There is a very simple reason why we all using Linux: it's its
openness where everyone are welcome to contribute. See LNW article
above it you ignored in my previous post.

For the same reason I refuse to use nVidia/Skype/whateve­r even its
proprietary know-how is "better" in many cases (for today).
I don't want to wait until they deign to release a next version which
would support a newest xorg, KMS, <any other new technology> or fix a
bug. I want to have a full control of __my__ hardware.

I applaud companies such as ATI and Intel for being so open and will
be buying their hardware only to support them.
