TRIVIA NITE AT JIMMY THE GREEK'S behind Maine Mall

Jimmy's gets a large turnout (15-20 teams) vying for prizes (and/or bragging rights)--good music, good food, good company.  Let's put the flotsam and jestam and lagan floating around in our brains together and learn a lot of useless stuff.

Watch for our table sign.

Ann called and asked me to let you all know, she will be there, IF she can get out of her driveway. She is depending on her neighbor.

I'll be there, but some friends wanted to do their own table with me this time.

I agree with Ann B. Only ask real trivia questions, i.e., factual information, such as: what state has the tallest mountain in the U.S.?

Bingo! Scarboro Gamers placed first again Friday nite, earning a $30 gift certificate to Jimmy the Greek's. There were only 9 teams instead of the usual 17 or so--holidays, I guess. Emcee Don is trying out a new kind of question. Try to guess how the other teams will respond to a question like "What is the best color for a car?" If you are in the majority you get a certain number of points, if you are in the secondary group you get fewer. Strange. We prefer the questions that tax our book (or Wikipedia) larnin' and useful stuff like "Which English-speaking country drinks the most wine per capita?" (Australia).

Come join us Friday nites for some mental calisthenics.
