Story Game Night

Story games are about working together to build an interesting story, in one session with no advance prep. Fiasco is one example (linked below) which we've had a lot of fun playing.

No experience with this kind of game is needed! All you need is a willingness to try something new.

I have three options to bring. If you have others, please bring them. Each of the ones I have, listed below, takes 2-3 hours to play. We'll see what people are in the mood to try and make a group decision on which one to play.

Larry is getting worried. Shortly after divorcing his Husband Chuck, money started disappearing from the restaurant they still ran together. Chuck tries to pass it off as just a slow season but is clearly hiding something. But every cloud has a silver lining. Larry and his sister Lula recently discovered a suitcase full of money in their late father Louis' possessions. He tries to get some of the cash to cover the restaurant's growing debt but she won't budge. She claims that as a Police Detective, she can not in good conscience take the money until she tracks down it's origins (she is a much better liar than Chuck).

LOL, cousin Lawrence was actually slightly estranged brother Lester (to Lula and Larry)

In the end, no one get the money, as it was unknowingly burned.

Anyone who's not signed up, feel free to join us. It wouldn't hurt to have another definite 'yes'. If you are signed up and can't make it, please update your RSVP, and hopefully we'll see you next time.

We shouldn't have any weather problems this time around. Looking forward to it!

Given the road conditions and the heavy snow forecast, I'm going to go ahead and postpone this. I hate to do so, but I think it's the prudent decision. I'm going to move this to two weeks from now (March 4).

Good decision, I just got home and it's treacherous driving. I'm staying put!

I'm not going to be able to make this one :/

Probably not going to make it either. Driving home right now and it's awful. Supposedly the storm is going to get worse.

Me neither. Staying put tonight. Maybe postpone to next Tuesday, Scott?

    I've also got:

    extraordinary-adventures-of-baron-munchausen
The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen which should work well with groups too large for Fiasco

Aye, Dark Overlord! as an option for those who need a little more 'game' to their story games.

I'll look at those...which one do you think I'd like most?

Fiasco is definitely the most fun and works with any theme.

I remember least year, trying to join for one of these and it didn't work out. Looking forward to learning about this. No experience, here!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
