What is the religious/cultural significance of this festival?
2 · March 17, 2014
it originated in India, i am sure there is story on how it started and how it evolved, but I don't know. This event however is simply pure color fun, no rituals or religious activity, you may want to check coverage from last year, it will give you a idea

Well the mythological explanation is the good destroying the devil but it is celebrated for a good harvest expected in the fields. It is fun Laura and Natalie both of should attend. Bring friends if can. Also some of the colors are good in terms of strengthening the ions of the body:-)

This looks like a lot of fun, I hope I can work out my calendar to attend. Do tickets tend to sell out?
it is a open ground that can accomadate thousands but yes there is that chance, not so early though. I will only know as we get close

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
