As You Like It recap and announcing Titus Andronicus

From: Andrew J.
Sent on: Sunday, October 9, 2011 8:05 PM

I can't really recap "As You Like It" since I didn't actually make it to the reading - apologies for my absence, but I was feeling unwell. However, based on the comments on the site it sounds like the play got successfully read and was enjoyed by all who attended.

Next time: Shakespeare's most violent and bloody revenge tragedy, Titus Andronicus. Titus, a general in the Roman army, is engaged in a cycle of revenge with Tamora, Queen of the Goths.

For more details, see the full listing:

When: Sunday, October 23,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Inner Chapters Bookstore & Cafe
419 Fairview Ave N (between Republican & Harrison)
Seattle, WA 98109
[masked]

We'll be at the back of the shop, in the children's section.

It's not necessary to read the play beforehand, but it's easier to understand what's going on if you familiarize yourself with the plot first. Please bring copies of the text if you have them, but if you don't then don't worry about it - someone might bring multiple copies, there might be copies in the shop and at a pinch there's always somebody who doesn't mind sharing.

Since Inner Chapters is not normally open on Sundays, the owner has requested that we make a $5 per person minimum purchase to make it worth her while to open for us. If that would prevent you from coming please let us know and we'll work something out - we don't want anybody to be "priced out" of the reading.

Don't forget that as members of this group we get $1 off any beverage and 25% off books on the day of the meetup.
