Shakespeare: we're back!

We had a little hiccup there while we adjusted to the sad reality of losing our great organizer, Matthew, who has succumbed to the vile temptations of Canada. But the show must go on! The group has lots of momentum (welcome to the nine new members who've signed up since the last reading!) and it would be a shame to squander it.

Terri and I have been talking logistics, and we propose setting up a reading next Sunday. Terri has rashly volunteered to be the official organizer unless anyone else really wants the job, and I've committed to doing the easy fun stuff - helping us select plays, breaking down the parts, etc.

So how does A Midsummer Night's Dream sound on Sunday the 19th at 2PM? Any objections? Would earlier work better for you, or later, or even Saturday?

In keeping with the midsummer theme, it might be nice to meet in a park and bask in the sun, with a fallback position nearby (coffeeshop etc) if there's no sun to bask in. We like Volunteer Park because it worked well last time, it's fairly central, and there are discreet nooks we can hide in to avoid embarrassment. But the nearest workable fallback would be Victrola, which might be too busy and noisy to work well. The new Cal Anderson park (on Pine, just east of Broadway) is less private, but it has loads of cafes and things nearby. Opinions?

Looking forward to Shaking the Speares again.
