Meetup folks: Most of you have journeyed before, but for those of you who haven't, or would like a refresher, or desire a more formal intro to journeying than the Meetup sessions will provide, here's an Intro-level class.
The shamanic journey -- the discipline of successfully entering into and then clearly returning from a state of Non-Ordinary Reality, after meeting with and communing with the helping beings found there -- is fundamental to the practice of shamanism.
This experiential workshop teaches the basics of journeying, an ancient shamanic practice that allows us to connect directly with personal animal spirit guides for advice, spiritual companionship and increased well being.
If you're interested in incorporating shamanism into your spiritual path -- or simply in getting an idea of what the terms mean -- this is a great place to start.
Please bring note-taking materials and (optional) a scarf to cover your eyes while journeying.
PS: Once you take this workshop, you're welcome to sit in again free of charge - for a review, for the live drumming, for community - whenever the class is reoffered.
Facilitator Renna Shesso: I trained in core shamanism healing and teaching techniques thru the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and with Sandra Ingerman (author of "Soul Retrieval"), including Ingerman's rigorous Two-Year Teaching Training. I've taught shamanic workshops with groups and individuals since 1989, and had a healing practice since 1991.
