I decided to start this group because of a few reasons. There was no other group in our area where people could get together and enjoy tea or coffee and conversation. I saw that there were a lot of people interested in the same thing so I'm here to start a group for us all!

I envision our meetups to be calm, casual, and tasty.

Welcome topics of discussion: Variety of teas, educational information on where different teas come from, sustainability in tea production, coffee, Fair Trade, purchasing information, collection of teapots, cups, spoons, china, etc; Health and healing in tea, etc. Casual conversation is unlimited, but these are a few suggestions of what kind of things the meetup was originally about. This is no longer just a tea and coffee lovers group but also for the cafe-lovers and conversationalists.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served at meetups at well in a potluck style. I bake and make desserts, and would love to serve them at our meetups. I can bake desserts without most common allergens. Please, if you have any allergies or sensitivities, let us know in your profile for the group. We want everyone to have something yummy to drink and eat! Please enjoy!

-By the way, generally, children shouldn't come to the meetups in order to keep the meetings more slow-going, but a few exceptions can be made: when meetups are for children's & parent's tea parties, when there is a nursing infant or young child, or an older child (around high school age) that would like to participate. We must keep in mind that china and porcelain/ceramic dishes may be used at meetups and we would hate for anything to be broken.
