Southeastern Circuit Pro Rodeo Finals

The Southeastern Circuit Pro Rodeo Finals run from November 1 through 3, and Shoot Miami will be going as a group on Thursday, November 1. These finals will likely contain most or all all of the standard rodeo events, including Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding and Ladies' Barrel Racing. The exact list of events has not yet been published, but will be provided as soon as it's available.

There are three options available to purchase tickets:

  1. Thanks to information located and provided by Shoot Miami member Scott Ross, there are limited-time discount tickets available for the Southern Circuit Pro Rodeo on Thursday, November 1. By using the following link, through Monday, October 15 (or thereabouts), you can buy an unlimited number of tickets for the November 1 show (only that day, and the day that Shoot Miami is going), for the LOW price of $9.00 As we did not get a sufficient number of people for the group sales price and there will therefore be no group purchase, tickets without the discount are $18 if purchased in advance at Griff's Western Wear in Davie, or $20 at the gate on the day of the Rodeo.
  2. If you wish to purchase tickets on your own and in advance after Monday October 15, they will be on sale at Grif's Western, 6211 Orange Drive, in Davie. You will need to visit Grif's in person (and it's a great place to pick up that pair of boots you've always wanted, or that spiffy new Cowboy hat) to buy your tickets. Tickets purchased at Grif's will cost $18 for adults and $8 for children.
  3. Tickets will also be on sale the night of the Rodeo, Thursday, November 1, at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, for the price of $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Again, I have been there. You should bring[masked]/55-200/55-300. At f5.6 I was at 5000 ISO. You will have to of course balance your ISO/Shutter/Aperture to get a nice shot. Here is a link to my set - browse the EXIF Data and you will see varying ISO/Aperture settings.

My long lens[masked] is not as fast as f/2.8. Will I have limitations under event lighting conditions?

The last time I shot the rodeo, I got buddy buddy with the security guard and he let me shoot from the rails as long as I kept back when the bronco got close. got some great shots.

Great idea Hector. I also will be working with the Group Sales Manager and Executive Director of the Rodeo Association as we get closer to the actual event to try to get "preferred" access. I will keep everyone posted.

Pics are twice as nice when half the price. $9.00!!

If my countdown clock math is better than my high school algebra grades, this short-term promotional deal appears to be available through Monday, October 15th.

    Hope the info is helpful.
