"Honor Diaries": Culture is no excuse for abuse!

The Secular Humanist Society of New York, Feminist Freethinkers of NY, and the NY Society for Ethical Culture jointly present an important new film!

This outstanding 2013 documentary explores violence against women in “honor-based” societies, and features nine courageous women’s rights advocates who have witnessed firsthand the hardships women endure, and who engage in the film in a dialogue about gender equality and women’s rights. More than a movie, "Honor Diaries" is a movement meant to inspire viewers to learn more about issues facing women in Muslim-majority societies, and to act for change.
