Rock Creek Park Fall Photo Walk

Before we know it the beautiful Fall colors will be here.  Let get out and enjoy the color and in the process get some great shots.  This park offers bridges, buildings, trails and more.  Since there are so many opportunities at this location we will all meet at the Nature Center and depending on the number of people attending we can divide into smaller groups and spread out capturing all the locations of the park.  Hope to see many of you there.

Is there a planned meeting place at the park? Do people usually stay in groups? I have some general concern about walking around alone with a lot of camera equipment. I've never been to this park before. Also driving into DC does anyone know about parking?

We are meeting at the Visitor Center at 5200 Glover Rd NW DC 20015. We always try to stay in groups of at least 2/3 people. When on walks like this you find that people see many opportunities so along the walk you will pass some then some will pass you but we can always make sure to have someone close as we all at times have a lot of equiptment with us. Parking is FREE and per the park ranger there is plenty of it.

Would love to meetup! I am coming from out of town also and not familiar. I am assuming the 5200 Glover Rd NW address is good. Is there parking available at or near that location?

    November 2, 2013

    • Crystal V.

Yes that is the address to use and there is plenty of FREE parking at the park.

      November 2, 2013

  • Alexis

Do they have plenty of parking there?

    November 2, 2013

    • Crystal V.

Yes and there are no parking fees

Ok here are the details for tomorrow...There is parking and there is no cost for the parking or the park.
We will be meeting at the Vistor Center at 10am located at 5200 Glover Rd NW DC 20015.
Bring your walking shoes as the park is a total of 12miles (we're not doing the entire thing but gives you an idea of the amount of walking that can be done).
We will proceed by 10:10am so please try to be on time. For those who may be running late my cell is[masked]-0687. I will do my best to take your calls or respond to your texts in regards to our location. Again since there are so many of us coming we will probably break into smaller groups but always staying safe. Let's have fun and get some great shots tomorrow.

Hey guys! Would anyone be coming from Arlington and won't mind me catching a ride? I don't have a car but can meet up at any metro station if that makes things easier. Thank you and looking forward to this meetup! :)
