Did anyone show up for the Photo Exhibit at Claude Moore Park? Also, "Barktoberfest"was anyone at that event? I was alone at both. We need to RSVP no if you are not going the night before except if there is an Illness. What if newbie said yes and no one came? So I am rating these 2 meet-up's 0. Both events were great. I will not lead again. It takes time to set up an event and keep track of things.

http://www.loudounwildlife.org/HHClaudeMoore.htm - a link to the history about Claude Moore Park. The park preserves remnants of the colonial village of Lanesville and a pristine section of historic Vestal’s Gap Road, the main route from Alexandria to the West for Native Americans and early American settlers. Also, the Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum located at the Park is dedicated to preserving the memory of the rich agricultural county that Loudoun used to be.

New update: Meet at the Visitor's Center on your left after your enter Claude Moore Park (CMP). We can get a map to find where Lanesville Ordinary. Claude Moore Park has been listed by the Loudoun Wildlife Conservatory as one of their places to take pictures in Loudoun County (LC). It has plenty of history - in the past & in our time. Dr. Claude Moore left his property to the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). The NWF decided to sell the prime property to a developer. But LC Citizens said NO. It went to court and was bought by LC and preserved.

Hi Lynda, I've never been to Claude Moore and don't want to limit myself to an hour at this time. I may head over to Barktoberfest a little later. Thanks for suggesting it.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
