it was wonderful meeting folks at the street festival. Sad to see the storm destroy the remaining blossoms at the moment.

I've been to this street festival in the years past and would suggest preparing for being out in the sun, very little shade and large crowds. Overall though, it's a good venue for a people watch event, especially observing the anime impersonators and traditional Japanese kimonos and such.

If anyone lives on or near Cap Hill and wants to show some framed high-quality work, https://cove.is/ is opening a new location on the Hill. Send me an e-mail and I'll point you in the right direction.

I wasn't able to locate the group but I did go to the event because of the Meetup. It was a fun day of taking pics with my family. I would love some feedback on the ones I upload because I'm trying to learn how to improve. .. Thank you!

Ditto here! Needed to work on my street photography skills. We left early because we actually had enough of the heat and the crowds. But, I did get some reasonable shots, so I consider the outing a success. Hope you had some too!

You can buy tickets ahead of time. Once I get inside I will post a meeting place. I'm not sure exactly where the best meeting place will be. Here is the link for the online info. http://www.nationalch...

Came in just now (1:30) at 13th and Penn. Where is best place to go to be most likely to meet up with our group?

I am so so excited about this event tomorrow. If you haven't already you can purchase your tickets in advance that way there is less waiting. For those spending the day with me from the Sunrise shoot on this will be a great time for lunch as well as photographing. If you are not taking Metro and are looking for a good place to park I would reccomend the L"Efant Plaza Hotel. The cost is $11 for the day and it is right off the National Mall making it a great place to park. The address is 480 L'Enfant Plaza SW.
    Washington, DC 20024.
As I am not sure of the layout we will meet at the Federal Triangle Metro Stop by the Giant Metal Rose and go from there. If you need to get tickets the same day then try to make it in a little early so you can meet up with us at the set time of 1pm. I will be wearing blue/neon green running shorts and teal/blue tank top. If you need to reach me try texting me at[masked] as the meetup app does have delays at times in DC.
