National Arboretum

There are so many things to photograph at this location. From Bonsi trees that are thousands of years old to newly budding flowers. There are huge columns with a water feature. So join me for a walk of the grounds. We will meet at the NY Ave parking lot and divide into smaller groups depending on your interests. Please note that there are NO metro stops within walking distance so you will have to drive in. There are no parking or entrance fees.

Hi everyone! I am sorry I missed the start of the gathering and enjoyed catching up with some of you throughout the garden. I wanted to capture some images to give some bride's steps ideas for wedding planning and I like making bonsi plants look like giants which the really actually are. Looking forward to the next trip and getting to know all 2,000 + of my mentors and friends in photography!

This is was a really great event, happy to have met some seasoned shutterbugs as well. Got lots of compliments on my little camera. The weather was perfect and am still in awe of having seen a live bonsai from the year 1625. Looking forward to seeing all the photos getting posted too, there was tons of gardens and sculpture to photograph on the grounds.

Absolutely great. This was my first time physically meeting up with the group. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the great folks and getting to know them. Thank you Courtney for the great job you did for us to make sure we had the opportunity to get a great variety of shots of vegetation and flora. I look forward to the next opportunity to get together with everyone again.
