I was thinking about this photowalk earlier in the week and decided, upon leaving the convention center today at 5pm and seeing the wonderful light on the buildings, to get it on the schedule. Its only about a week away, so sorry for the short notice. Part of the reason for next week is I'm renting a camera next weekend and want to give it some architecture to test it out. I've also not been to either circle too much (ok, yes there is technically three). I figured the time limit would be good to get some creativity going.
So, lets start it off by meeting at Logan Circle at the point of 13th and Vermont as it goes into the circle. We will break up into groups and spend about 30-45 minutes in and around this area.
Then, its a 15-20 minute (if taking no photos) down Rhode Island Ave, to Scott Circle Park then up some other street (seriously Google Maps is not showing a street name) to Dupont Circle.
Figure 35-45 minutes for Dupont Circle and surrounding area, then we can meet at Starbucks on Connecticut (adjacent to the the Circle) to grab a refreshment and chat a bit before calling it a night. I figure its best to end where there's a good metro stop and the metro is stones throw from Starbucks.
The afternoon light was beautiful, so lets make the start time at 3:30. Figure it will be 3:45 until we get started, then 4:30ish start heading to Dupont, be there by 5ish to have a good 45 minutes there and time to walk to Starbucks by 6pm. Sunset is going to be around 6:05pm.
