Barracks Row to Eastern Market Photo Walk

Let's take a photo walk through the historic Barracks Row neighborhood. There are lots of architecture and street photography opportunities as we walk up 8th Street, SE toward Pennsylvania Ave. We'll end our walk at Eastern Market, where there are lots more photo opportunities. Bring your DSLRs, point & shoots, and mobile phone cameras. This is a photo walk for everyone.

Great fun! Host met us all at 8 am, gave us the lowdown, turned us loose. The neighborhood was new to us all, quite photogenic. We wandered the area, gathered again at 10am, and broke into groups to go eat. People we met were interesting, hosts were very helpful - a great experience for our first meetup.

Izzy, there is paid parking on 8th Street, and you can always find free street parking on the side streets by Barracks Row or Eastern Market.

Sounds like a great venue! I've never been there and was wondering if anyone knows anything about parking in the area. Metro only starts at 7 am on Saturday and I don't think that I can make it in time from Rockville for 8 am.
