What kinds of subjects do you like to shoot?

Still sorting this out; hence my interest in meeting other photogs. So far, model ports, food, faux weddings, fine art, youth sports (ballet & ice skating), family portraiture, churches, and historical sites. I’d like to do boudoir and weddings. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot shooting w/ Frank Ruggles and his "Hike and Shoot" group at Harper's Ferry last spring.

How would you describe your level of expertise?

Intermediate-to-advanced; I have gotten paid for some work. I work hard to improve my technique and develop my photographer's eye. I shoot a lot. Visually-oriented, some of this is natural to me. I am a very fast learner.

What kind of camera are you shooting with?

Nikon D300, but I'm about to take the plunge and upgrade to the Nikon D800. My favorite lenses are my Nikkor[masked]mm f/2.8 telephoto lens, a Nikon 60mm f/2.8 macro lens, and my Nikon 50mm f/1.8 prime lens.

Introduction

Yin & Yang: Former Marine, I am now an aerospace engineer (analytical) and a photographer (creative). Photography doesn't pay much YET, but it will. As the owner of my own business, I became serious about photographic art and science 5 years ago.
