WHAT:
Tired of commuting downtown to a meetup? Join other uptown writers for an hour of focused writing. You will see progress in your writing project by spending the minimum of a single hour per week on it. This is your practice/focus time, so I hope to see you there.
WHEN:
7:00pm - Introductions
7:05pm - Shut up & write!
8:05pm - Brief Check-in
8:06pm - People can continue to work, chat, or stick around for trivia night at Indian Road.
WHERE: Indian Road Cafe, 600 W 218th St #3, 10034. Take the A or 1 train OR the BX7 or M100 bus.
SOME TIPS:
Indian Road is an uphill walk from the train/bus, so plan accordingly.
There are two sections of tables - a large counter space with outlets, and a few high top tables just as you walk in.
It can be dark at the counter tables, so be aware if writing by hand.
If you come late, we might have already started.
The music and occasionally nonmember conversation can be loud, so bring headphones too.
WiFi is available WITH PURCHASE.
Indian Road has delicious coffee, tea, & snacks, so be sure to buy something as they are nice enough to host us.
Please update your RSVP early if you have a change of plans, otherwise, you are taking a spot away from another potential writer.
If you're spending too much time THINKING about writing, come and join us for a session of focused writing. It may just be "pipe-cleaning" for now, but you'll feel better showing up at the page. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.
Hey all I might be running late this evening. Please find one another and start without me if needed
