Shut Up & Write! East Bay Marathon

Join fellow writers for a marathon session of focused writing.  With this location we ALWAYS advise prompt arrival if you need electrical outlet access.  And please check our new lunch procedure with Mo'Joe.

Hosted by Eric (aka Arley).

10:00am - Check-in, Introductions, PLACE LUNCH ORDER AND PAY FOR IT AND TELL MO'JOE WHAT TIME YOU'D LIKE IT READY.  They have been very accommodating.

10:15am - Write for one-and-a-half hours

11:45am - Lunch break, check-in, and socializing

12:30pm - Write for one-and-a-half hours

02:00pm - Check-in, beverage/snack, chat

02:30pm - Write for one-and-a-half hours

04:00pm - Session dismissed.  Keep writing or start talking.

If you're spending too much time THINKING about writing, come and join us for some marathon sessions, 4.5 hour or more of focused writing!

1) Please try to arrive a bit early to get a seat with the group.

2) Order something from Mo's - we want to keep them happy and keep coming back!  And be sure to have lunch here as well, then they'll really like us.

3) If you arrive late try not to disrupt the writing flow.  Find a seat somewhere, start writing, and we'll check in with you at the next break.

4) During breaks, make sure to purchase something from the cafe
if you can. That will cause them to want us to come back again
and again.

5) If you can't make it, please un-RSVP at least a few days in
advance if at all possible. Late RSVP changers have prevented
eager writers from attending past overly subscribed Marathons!

Well, I am embarrassed. I was planning on coming to the Berkeley writing event. Then, this morning, there was an email for our MeetUp group in my inbox (I get up early). It had a Sunday 10-3:00 date/time, so I assumed I had mis-remembered the timing of our meeting. Then, I realized that it was for a different MeetUp -- the one in San Francisco tomorrow. I am so bummed to have missed this, and to have possibly taken a spot that someone else may have wanted. :-( I will be there next week!

I hope you all had an inspired morning of writing!

So sorry to miss this but had emergency oral surgery today which I would complain about except that with that dreadful infected tooth gone I feel MUCH better already. Going to cruise on pain meds for a few days and then start looking for our next MU.

We just moved to the SF Bay area after a 3-yr journey by sailboat from Alaska to Mexico. Looking forward to sharing time with fellow writers!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
