I am writing a play that is essentially a comedy about death. It's a family play. It's a play about trying to bridge the gap between who we are as individuals and the roles we play in families. It's a play about how death is not the worst thing that can happen. It's mostly funny. If it works right it will be a little heartbreaking too, without ever dipping into sentimentality.
I am a playwright and personal essayist looking for connection and community because writing can be a lonely journey. Writing alone together is one of the practices that really helps me with momentum and offers support against Resistance.
