Shut Up & Write! LA

You will see progress in your writing by spending the minimum of a single hour per week on it. This is your practice/focus time, so we hope to see you there.

Join other writers for an hour of focused writing!
7:00 - introductions.
7:10 - Get down to business
8:10 - finish up and have a brief check-in
8:15 - You can continue to work, chat with other writers, or take off as you like.

If you're spending too much time THINKING about writing, come join us for a session of focused writing. It may just be "pipe-cleaning" for now, but you'll feel better showing up at the page. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.

Note: Electrical outlets are not always available, so if you plan to use a laptop, make sure it's fully charged.

Interesting concept. I think it helped me adjust my frame of mind and realize that many people have some of the same obstacles I do. I really enjoyed it.

Good meet. Down to business. Longer session would be great.

16 of 24 RSVPs showed at the Coral Tree Cafe, 2-4-13. parking okay, noise-level moderate with management willing to reduce music. WiFi great. Worthy of return session.

Hi Writers! Please share your source of inspiration for your writing project. For example, the inspiration for my science fiction novel series, Gene Pool (www.genepoolthebook.com), was the question: What happens when human beings are able to control their own evolution?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
