Salve a tutti!

I'm really hoping that the food starts coming on time tonight. Last time, the first course didn't come until almost 8pm even though the event started at 7pm. The coffee wasn't even served yet by 11pm.

Crossing fingers and toes.... I drive into the city and use street parking to avoid horrendous parking lot charges.... when it snows, there is little street parking available.....

Try parking on 4th Street between 2nd & 1st Aves. before 6 PM is best. That's when I park.

    Hi Vince,
You mentioned that you went to New orleans this past October. My great uncle Luigi Caruso immigrated to New Orleans from San Cipriello, Sicily in 1912. Initially he resided in a small apartment with his wife and three children in the French Quarters. They called the neigh orhhod in those days, Little italy -La piccola sicilia to many. He celebrated San Giuseppe with elaborate altars. We Sicilians have brought our rich culture to many places in the states. My uncle Frank married a Sicilian cotton picker who resided in houston, Texas.
He immigrated to Houston, Texas from San Cipriello, Sicily.
