Introduction

Hi. My name is Nick Narducci. If you're reading this Vincent, we met at Italian Charities of America several months ago. Rose Ann Pusateri-Rowe, a buddy of mine on Facebook, mentioned this group to me and invited me to join.

Please tell us if you have ever been to Sicily and why you are interested in joining this group.

I have never been to Sicily but am in the process of planning my vacation there for later this year. I am interested in joining this group because I would like to learn more about the land of my ancestors and its people.

Do you speak Italian and/or Sicilian? If so, what level?

Io capisco un po l'Italiano ma non molto bene. lol

Send us your favorite memory, story or thought about Sicily please.

"To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not to have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

What would you like to learn most about Sicily and its food? What are your interests?

Since I am planning on visiting Sicily, I would like to learn about places to visit (as a tourist). I'd like to learn about the various foods of Sicilian cuisine. My interests include: history, archaeology, current events.

Have you tasted the food & wine of Sicily? What do you know about it?

My mother is Sicilian. Growing up I ate Sicilian dishes like braciole, caponata, pasta con sarde (which I LOVE!), pasta all Norma, and stuffed artichokes. I have tried Sicilian wines such as Marsala & Nero D'Avola.

What Nicholas Narducci is saying about this Meetup Group

Sadly, only Tom & Rose Ann were there. This was my first meetup and I was hoping to meet many of the rest of the group. Oh well, there's always next time. Ciao!
