SMC's intermediate steep snow and alpine ice climbing course, this is the next step toward alpinism. With a full 16 hours of focused instruction you'll get a solid understanding of technical skills you'll need to venture higher. Course completion better qualifies you to attend club climbs that require SIG 2 skills. All members are welcome to attend, but those who have a grasp of the SIG 1 skillset will be the best prepared. We have room for 6 students. For current SMC members only. Not a member? Join here.

Sounds good. I'll see you there. Do we need ice tools? Are you bringing the quarks? I have the hammer but not the adze. Thanks

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
