Butteneers! A quick update. I expanded the attendee list a little bit to accomadate a few more climbers. Please, if you can't make it, take yourself off as soon as possible so another climber can go. Again, I think we can do this route with crampons, ice axes, and helmets, but if you are uncomfortable with 40 degree slopes without roped protection, please bring a lightweight mountaineering harness. There should be water flowing somewhere along the route so you should be able to replenish your water containers. This weeks' weather should melt enough low snow to allow us to park at Lower Sardine Lake. Also I am hoping the road is open to Packer Lake so that we might leave one vehicle there in case we make our descent in that direction. Please be aware that HWY 49 can make you car sick, so if you are susceptible please take precautions! (Front seats and rolled down windows I guess!) Tom and Richard will be meeting us up there. I know a 400am departure is early but we do need to get on the snow as early as possible. Please send me a text message so I have your number in my phone. Let me know if you need any equipment or have any other concerns. As far as carpooling, please post on the site as to your needs. Can't Wait! It will be fun! and if you haven't been there before you will be amazed! Rick[masked]
