The New York City Sangat, coordinating with sangats from across the country, will be leading a National Day of Seva (selfless community service) to remember and honor the victims and survivors of the Oak Creek tragedy.
What: National Day of Seva New York City Project - Morningside Park Clean Up
Who: You, your family and friends. This is a family-friendly project and we encourage volunteers of all ages to participate.
When: Meet at 10 am sharp. The seva project will finish around 1:30pm.
Where: Morningside Park Entrance, W 113th St & Morningside Drive, Manhattan, New York City (near Columbia University).
Why: To remember and honor the victims and survivors of the Oak Creek tragedy and to thank the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation for their help in securing space for the Aug. 2012 Vigil held in Union Square.
