1 Hammad Mazhar Saleem, Founder and CEO from Faalsa Labs
“We let users organize & enjoy Online Shopping Trips anytime, anywhere with anyone!”
Bio: Stanford trained engineer (EE/CS '02), with technical and leadership experience at startups as well as industry leading large corporation. Before starting work on WannaGet, I was working at Apple as a lead engineer for SyncServices and iCloud in the OSX group. Earlier, I was the first engineering hire at Sharpcast (now SugarSync), where I helped build the first push synchronization platform for arbitrary consumer data. The products built on that platform launched to rave reviews by Walt Mossberg and other leading technology reviewers.
Product Name: WannaGet
WannaGet is designed to blend the best of offline and online shopping in a delightful experience.
It all starts with the observation that In the offline world its very rare to see a person going to the shopping mall alone, in contrast online shopping today can be a very lonely experience.
People try to break this pattern with various hacks such as emailing links back and forth or sharing links over various semi-public platforms. But these methods are inefficient and problematic.
WannaGet starts with the observation that people love going to the Mall as groups of friends or family, but extends that to incorporate online shopping as well by introducing the concept of an Online Shopping Trip. A user creates a Trip with a certain goal and invites some friends and family to join it. Beyond that WannaGet provides a delightful interface to conduct and enjoy these virtual trips and accomplish real shopping.
Whats great is the realization that the Online Shopping Trips are big leap forward in the shopping experience even if users intend to keep the trip completely private.
We envision a world where all shopping is done this way! And we intend to lead the way in making this transition happen.

11 Matthew Ftacnik, Founder, Live Agent
Live Agent is helping companies communicate better with their customers.
Providing an excellent customer support experience is the right way how to win customers hearths. But today, customers are expecting to get the same great experience over all possible communication channels. Unfortunately most companies don’t deliver on this expectation as they either don’t offer support for facebook, twitter, and don’t regularly monitor their community forum or knowledge base comments.
Bio: Live Agent offers a way how to integrate all communication channels to one neat dashboard and then to automatically distribute every single interaction to the right person in the company that can deliver the best response. With Live Agent, no interaction goes unanswered everything is tracked and employees just need to login to one dashboard in comparison to 8 or 9 different platform otherwise. This saves time, increases response numbers and the overall customer satisfaction with the company.
Working on a product called Live Agent, a truly multi-channel helpdesk system ths integrates all support channels in one place.
Also I love startups, that's why I founded and co-founded startups such as lingibli.com or inovasys.sk and I adivise a couple of others. Thanks to winning StartupAwards.sk with nicereply.com for the best startup in Slovakia in the last year, I spent a my first few months in Silicon Valley. In my spare time I co-founded the first creative workplace for startups in Bratislava - theSPOT.sk, before that I used to organize monthly startup meetups called Startup Camps and I facilitated a few Startup Weekends in Bratislava and Prague.

November 17
My first event - enjoyed it thoroughly. Looking forward to the December meeting.
November 17
Really enjoyed all the pitches, and useful feedback from the judges. Also got to meet some very interesting people during the network time.
November 17
It was excellent since this was the first pitch and demo day that I have attended. I learned a lot from this group.
November 17
Nice event, lots of motivated presenters and networking advocates, projector/presentation PC problems (why is this still a problem after many years of such frustration?) stymied some of the presenters, frequent audio positive feedback squeals (why a problem after a century of such occurrences??). Most pitches were Angel quality, of course, and the enthusiasm of the founders was obvious and contagious! Nearly all pitches were social-based and needed virality to achieve their hockey stick. Some good ideas, no doubt, and I look forward to more! Good job to the presenters, especially those that traveled from Capetown and Europe!
November 17
To App Demo application: after the pitching session, we will open for demo. Demo is open. The people who submitted to demo has higher priority.
Product only. No service promotion.

Hi All -
Can't wait to see these companies pitch! I am the founder of cloudseeder.com - a cloud-based Point of Sale app launching soon.
My family and I will be on vacation from Chicago next weekend, and I am going to duck away and head over to this group.
Any other 'used-to-be-mid-westerners'
(or friendly folks in general) willing to flag me down so I'm not 'that guy' standing in the corner?
Looking forward to meeting some great people!
