#!/round/one

We want 5 minute demos of something you're working on or something you've done and you think is awesome. It's coolest if it's open source and you've got code for us to play with afterward.

The (strictly enforced) format is 5 minutes to demo, and then 5 minutes for Q&A.

There's no focus: anything you think would be interesting. Web apps, servers, AI bent on world domination. But! You need to have something to show off. You can have slides, but no vaporware or deckware.

We'll aim for around 8 presenters. If you'd like to present--or have a friend who would--please fill out the RSVP questionnaire. I'll contact those who are interested and we'll get that all together.

I expect there will be pizza. Afterwards there are many bars on Castro St to keep the meetup going.

    I felt it was a really good idea to have these more.

    One of the best meetups I've ever been to. Wide variety of bleeding-edge web projects presented, as well as getting Zork to run on a tty with Arduino.

    A lot of great people and interesting project presentations. Fun time. My only criticism (if you can call it that) was that none of the projects had any practical commercial value; they were things like a "That's what she said" bot, Zork in an acoustic modem, or Doom converted from C++ to javascript. Would have been nice to see some projects that could be spun out to large-scale tech value and/or business value.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
