Round 2: SF hacking and telling

  • August 29, 2011 · 7:00 PM

We want  5 minute demos of something you're working on or something you've done and you think is awesome. It's coolest if it's open source and you've got code for us to play with afterward.

The (strictly enforced) format is  5 minutes to  demo, and then  5 minutes for Q&A.

There's no focus: anything you think would be interesting. Web apps, servers, AI bent on world domination. But! You need to have  something to show off. You can have slides, but no vaporware or deckware. And demos > slides.

We'll aim for around 8 presenters. If you'd like to present--or have a friend who would--please fill out the RSVP questionnaire. I'll contact those who are interested and we'll get that all together.

There will be pizza and beer.

The presentations were interesting and there was more than enough pizza and beer for everyone. I was hoping to see more demos, but I think the event went well given the modest turnout.

This meetup was smaller than others I attended recently, but because of the manageable size it was actually possible to have unusually insightful group discussions. The attendees were very knowledgeable and the projects presented very interesting. It also helped that there was pizza and beer for everybody!
