A student as San Diego State University is conducting an opinion survey that
can help out the RLC with some gift cards we can use. One of the questions
will ask if you want to donate your card to the RLC. I have confirmed that
this is a legitimate survey. Here is his letter to the group.

Dear Silicon Valley RLC,

My name is Geoffrey Wetherell, and I am a student at San Diego State
University. I am offering a $10 online gift card which you can either keep, or
give to the Silicon Valley RLC to be used for group activities, to fill out a
simple 10-15 minute anonymous online survey. If you choose to keep your card,
you may select a Barnes and Noble, Walmart, or eBay online gift card which I
will email you within a few days after participating. The survey is used for a
follow up study for my honors thesis which deals with public opinion about
healthcare reform options in the United States, as well as feelings towards
healthcare program options and their recipients and supporters. We have
surveyed the college population here in San Diego, and are interested to see
if responses differ in non-college community groups. They survey consists of
simple multiple choice questions and one very quick written response in the
very beginning. If you want to participate, follow the link below. You will
need to finish the survey in one sitting. I really appreciate your help and

Thank you for your consideration,

Geoffrey Wetherell
