My name is Aihui (i-we), Rails developer and also a volunteer with Women 2.0. Despite what the name of the organization may infer, Women 2.0 is NOT a group of all women!! Our events are for both men and women, and we have two events coming up that Rubyists might want to attend. Thought some of your folks might be interested.

Women 2.0 Startup Weekend THIS WEEKEND in Mountain View, CA
Both men and women are invited to Women 2.0 Startup Weekend (November 19-21 in Mountain View) to start projects, start companies and meet potential co-founders and colleagues. Last year's Women 2.0 Startup Weekend yielded 19 startups(including popular iPhone app Foodspotting). Come to Women 2.0 Startup Weekend with an idea you want to build, or come to join a team. Designers, developers, marketers, startup enthusiasts, product people, Jacks and Jills of all trades are invited to join us for the 54-hour hackathon. Speakers, mentors, and judges include: Kazi Islam (CEO, Grameenphone), Mariya Genzel (Co-Founder & CTO, SayHired), Shanna Tellerman (Founder & CEO, WildPockets), Cathy Edwards (Co-Founder & CTO, Chomp), David Weekly (Founder & Chairman, PBworks), Sarah Allen (Co-Founder & CTO, Mightyverse), Anna Billstrom (iOS Developer), Bess Ho (Mobile & UI Developer), and more. Awards will be given for best apps, including "Best Mobile App for Women" based on the mWomen Mobile App Challenge. More info and register at
