Summary: SF Peninsula RoR+Agile, work with Lucene+Solr, MINASWAN.

Out of my window I see the Peninsula laid out below us and have a clear view of San Francisco in the distance.  There's an eagle that likes to come surf the thermals outside our window.  I work with cutting edge open-source search technology and get to build UIs to search and visualize results.  Our development team is smart and friendly, we get to work in Ruby, we're Agile and we get paid in real $USD not just equity.  Gotta love this job.

Lucid Imagination is the commercial entity behind the hot open-source search technology Lucene/Solr.  Among our team we have the creator of Solr and a number of Lucene and Solr core committers.  We're Agile, but we're also flexible; we practice TDD/BDD and we do some pair programming, but there is also plenty of solo-programming and a chance to work from home when appropriate.  Our office is in sunny San Mateo near the west end of the San Mateo bridge and close to Hillsdale CalTrain (a baby-bullet stop).

We are looking for another Ruby developer to join our team and help build cutting-edge search UIs.  Experience with Rails and some jQuery is required but apart from that we're open to talking to anyone from seasoned craftsmen to fresh-out-of-school with a keen intellect and a great attitude.

Please send me your resume if you're interested.

Apologies to those of you on several Ruby meetup mailing lists for the dup emails: we're in range of the city, the Peninsula and the East Bay and good ol' Meeetup will only let you send to one list at a time.
